Planting of the Shamrocks

Our Annual Hibernian Ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery.  Planting of shamrocks at the grave of George Washington Parke Custis. The annual AOH “Friend of Ireland Award” ceremonies will be held on at Arlington House (Custis Lee Mansion) at Arlington National Cemetery.  This year the State Board is presenting the “Friend of Ireland Award 2007” to a brother Hibernian who is serving on the National Board with a great national reputation as a historian.  The award will be presented to Michael McCormack, the National Editor of the National Hibernian Digest and the AOH National Historian.
